ROCKBRIDGE COMMUNITY FESTIVAL

We’re kicking off the fall growing season at the Rockbridge Community Festival! We’ll be highlighting some of the intricate relationships between native plants and the caterpillars that rely on them. Come learn which plants to add to your landscape so you can support our native moths and butterflies as they prepare to overwinter or migrate south!
ROANOKE PLANT SWAP & SHOP

Golden Cactus Brewing, 214 5th St SW, Roanoke
Root 11 is excited to be joining the Roanoke Chapter of Wild Ones for their plant swap and shop. All are welcome to participate—just being labeled plants of your own to swap with others! No worries if you don’t have anything to bring though. We’ll also have a nice selection of native plants that will be available for purchase, along with the folks from Ninebark Nursery. Grab a beer from Golden Cactus Brewing while you swap, shop, and chat all things native plants!
THE BIG FALL SALE

Root 11 will celebrate its 2nd anniversary where it all began— Hopkins Green. Fall is the best time to plant most perennials, shrubs, and trees. A large selection of native plant species will be available for your fall plantings. Joining us will be the Virginia Native Plant Society and the Rockbridge Master Gardeners (Plant Clinic & Compost Coaches). Bring all of your plant-related questions and stock up on some good native plants!

We’re partnering once again with our friends at the Art Hive, this time for the Queen City Mischief & Magic Festival! Come join us as we explore the magical and herbal characteristics of our region’s native plants. Dried leaves of several native species will be available for magical infusions!
